MAGIC
In the world, "Magic" is used for a variety of things from practical purposes as well as is the main form of combat utilized by Mages, it should be noted that magic is also bought and sold all throughout the world. Magic has been around for centuries and originates from The One Magic, the original source of all types of Magic. It is known that only 20% of the world's population is able to use Magic, with the other 80% being either unable to or unwilling to learn for some reason or other. There are numerous ways one can learn Magic and become a Mage. The three most common ways are; Being taught by someone who is already a Mage, Enrolling in a professional Magic Academy, or purchasing/acquiring Magical Lacrima and having it implanted in one's body. However, it should be noted that the stronger the Magic, the more it tends on selecting its wielder; additionally if the Mage's mind is frail, they will be unable to utilize more powerful Magics.
ETHERNANO
No one is sure how or when Magic began, or how Ethernano originated. However, Ethernano is the name of the magical particles that collectively create Magic Power utilized by Mages. Ethernano is the source of Magic Power for all Mages. Every Mage has a "container" inside their body that determines the limits of their Magic Power. If the case becomes empty, Ethernano will come from the atmosphere and enters the Mage's body and after a while, their Magic Power is restored. However, recent studies have identified another part of the Mages' Magic "container" that isn't normally used, and contains their dormant power called the "Second Origin". It should be noted that living organisms cannot live in areas of extremely concentrated Ethernano, as it has detrimental effects upon the structure of the body.
MAGIC POWER
Magic Power is the source of Power for all Mages and is composed of Ethernano particles. Every Mage has a container inside their body that determines the limits of their Magic Power. In the case that it becomes empty, a mage's body will unconsciously gather Ethernano from the atmosphere, because of this process their Magic Power supply will eventually be refilled and returned to normal.
SECOND ORIGIN
While studies have determined that this dormant part of the Magic Container exists, it is a secret to all but the best Mages that it as actually possible to awaken your Second Origin and utilize it. The process involved in unlocking a Mage's Second Origin differs from Mage to Mage, however, it is always excruciatingly painful and sometimes even deadly. If a Mage somehow manages to unlock their Second Origin, they will then receive an enormous boost in Magic Power.
LACRIMA
Lacrima is a Magic crystalline substance found throughout the world. There are many different types of Lacrima, and the most common uses are either to power them up with different spells and use them for assorted purposes, or to implant a form of Lacrima charged with a Magical-type within the body in order to develop a form of Magic without having to go through the trouble of learning it the natural way. Lacrima also comes in a form that can be affected by Curses and can be charged with Curses. This form is called Black Lacrima.
MAGIC CLASSIFICATIONS
There are two main classifications of Magic; Caster Magic and Holder Magic. Within these two classifications there are many sub-categories, the most prominent of which being Lost Magic. Caster Magic is Magic that is expelled from the body as opposed to Magic done through the use of a weapon or outside source. Holder Magic is Magic that requires a Mage to use an external source to produce the Magic. It usually requires the use of Magic Power, though there are some exceptions such as some Items are powered by Lacrima. Lost Magic, as the name implies, is Magic that has been lost to time, for whatever reason. Included in this category are Ancient Magics, the Black Arts, and Slayer Magics.
